Your settings

Who can use this — every coach, for their own account. Nothing on this page is company-wide: each coach picks their own, and your choices never change what another coach sees.

Open Settings from your account menu — the avatar in the top-right. Everything lives on one page, in this order.

Measurements

Choose how distance, elevation, and temperature appear:

SettingOptions
DistanceKilometres (km) or Miles (mi)
ElevationMetres (m) or Feet (ft)
TemperatureCelsius (°C) or Fahrenheit (°F)

Select Save measurements to apply them. New accounts start on metric.

Your choice follows you almost everywhere:

Units are per person, and nothing is converted destructively. Your athletes each have their own measurement setting, so you can read a workout in kilometres while the athlete reads the same workout in miles. The underlying recorded data never changes — only how it’s displayed.

Changing your units doesn’t rewrite reports that already exist. It applies to what you see now and to reports generated from here on.

Power zones

Choose whether power zones read as 5 zones or 7 zones:

Zone5 zones7 zones
Z1Active Recovery (under 55% FTP)Active Recovery (under 55% FTP)
Z2Endurance (55–75%)Endurance (55–75%)
Z3Tempo (75–90%)Tempo (75–90%)
Z4Threshold (90–105%)Threshold (90–105%)
Z5VO2 Max (above 105%)VO2 Max (105–120%)
Z6—Anaerobic Capacity (120–150%)
Z7—Neuromuscular (above 150%)

The two models agree everywhere up to threshold. The 7-zone model only splits what the 5-zone model calls Z5 into three, so switching never moves your endurance or tempo time — it just adds detail at the top end. The settings page previews the zones before you save.

This changes how zones are named and coloured for you when PlanMyPeak needs to present a model-derived profile, such as in the workout library. It does not replace the athlete’s provider-defined zones on an activity review: there, the activity’s own historical zone definition remains authoritative.

This is a display choice, not an analysis one. PlanMyPeak reviews your athletes’ rides against the same criteria whichever model you pick, so your compliance scores and feedback don’t change.

Feedback tone

Pick the voice the AI writes your feedback in — supportive, direct, technical, or your own words. This is covered in full on AI feedback tone.

Reports

Hide empty metrics decides how much detail an activity report shows.

A metric needs the right data to be measured: a ride recorded without a heart-rate strap has nothing to calculate aerobic decoupling from. With this setting on (the default), reports simply leave those metrics out and the remaining cards spread to fill the space. Turn it off to keep every metric on the page, each with a note explaining why it couldn’t be measured.

This is your own setting, and it also shapes what your athletes see for the same workout — so you’re both looking at the same page.

Notifications

Compliance alert emails — a weekly email when your athletes fall outside their training-plan compliance thresholds. This is on by default; turn it off and you’ll still get the in-app notification. See Compliance alerts.

The switch for athlete alert emails (resting heart rate, missed workouts, session scores, fitness, and form) lives with the rule itself, under Delivery preferences on the Alert Rules page — not here.

Light and dark themes

The sun / moon button in the top bar switches between light and dark. It sits outside Settings, and your choice is remembered next time you sign in.
