Frequently asked questions

What’s the difference between a head coach and an assistant coach?

A head coach runs the company — they see every athlete and control company-wide settings such as the team, compliance alert rules, and custom AI feedback. An assistant coach works with the athletes assigned to them. See Roles & permissions for the full breakdown.

How do I become a head coach?

You become a head coach by creating a company during sign-up. If you joined with an invite code, you’re an assistant coach — ask a head coach in your company to make any head-coach-only change for you.

Does PlanMyPeak get my TrainingPeaks password?

No. You sign in through TrainingPeaks’ own secure flow and approve access. PlanMyPeak never sees or stores your TrainingPeaks password.

Why did my activity not appear?

Activities sync after they’re completed and uploaded to TrainingPeaks, and after your connection is active. If something is missing, open Integrations and check that TrainingPeaks is connected, and confirm the activity has finished uploading. An analysis is produced for activities that sync within about 48 hours of being completed.

My connection says it expired — what do I do?

Select reconnect TrainingPeaks when prompted, or reconnect from the TrainingPeaks card on the Integrations page. Re-authorizing takes a few seconds and restores syncing for new activities. Existing reports aren’t affected.

How do I send feedback to TrainingPeaks?

Open the analysis and select Approve and publish. That posts a short comment on the activity in TrainingPeaks and creates the anonymous public report it links to. See Reviewing a workout.

Can I edit the feedback before it’s published?

Yes. The AI-written feedback is shown to you first, and you can edit it or revert to the original before you approve and publish.

Who can see a public report?

Anyone who has the link. Public reports are anonymous and contain no personal details, but the link itself is the key — share it only with people you intend to see the report.

Why is some athlete’s workout approved without me?

That athlete is in auto-approve mode, so well-scored sessions publish automatically. Switch them to review mode on their athlete page if you want to approve each one — see Managing athletes.

I got an error — what should I do?

Errors come with an on-screen message describing the next step, such as reconnecting TrainingPeaks, choosing an athlete, or trying again later. Follow that prompt. If the problem persists, contact support.
